Starting the Ooblets Halloween Event
First things first, the most important thing to do to make sure the Halloween Event is triggered is to make sure your version of Ooblets is up to date. Without an update, the Halloween festivities will not appear in Badgetown or in Nullwhere because the code is literally not there to make it available. Once again, this event will be available to you through Nov. 15 before the game updates again and removes it from access. If you are playing on the Switch version, simply press + on the game’s icon on the home screen to update. Once updated, you should be on Ver. v1.0.43_e_ea.
Halloween Is Not Available During the End Game Party in Ooblets
This is where I had trouble with starting the Ooblets Halloween Event. The last time I played Ooblets, I had just completed the main story and triggered a town-wide party that takes place after saving Badgetown. The Halloween Event will not start until the celebration is over and you will not see the items appear in town. The town’s celebration lasts for about a week in Ooblets so you’ll have to play a week’s worth of the game to finally get Halloween items to appear in front of Town Hall. If you want to speed up that process, you can craft the Sootheysip using eight balmyblooms to go to bed and jump to the next day. But, don’t miss out on any gleamy Ooblets that may appear on those days.
Buy and Equip the Halloween Candy Pail in Ooblets
Once these conditions are met, the Halloween items will finally appear in town and you’ll be able to start trick or treating. All you have to do is buy and equip the Halloween Candy Pail to get started. The pail is free so you can purchase it for the great price of zero gummies, then head to your inventory to equip it and start trick or treating. If you need a reminder, here is our guide on how to change your clothing in Ooblets so you can quickly equip the pail. Once it is equipped, speak with the characters to receive candy and spend it on the assortment of items available. You can only get candy from each character once per day and the items change daily so be sure to play for several days to earn all the rewards. That is everything you need to know to start the Halloween Event in Ooblets and start collecting all the limited-time goodies before they’re gone. Be sure to talk to all your friends in Badgetown to collect as much candy as possible.
