As we all waited for around 8 months to see it, and now it has been launched by the company at its GTC 2022 keynote, so let’s jump to the details below.

What’s New In Nvidia RTX 40-Series GPU

Absolutely this year’s GPUs from Nvidia are more powerful than the last GPU series, and let’s begin with its power segment. As the company has said, they partnered with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to work on a new “4N” fabrication process to make these GPUs’ power efficiency double than 30-series GPUs.

As these GPUs have Nvidia’s new third-generation cores with Ada Lovelace architecture, there will be a huge improvement in Ray tracing & rendering performance.

Specifications

The RTX 4090  comes with 24 GB of GDDR6X memory, and it has 16,384 CUDA cores which makes it perform 2X faster than the RTX 3090 Ti. And base clock of it is 2.23 GHz, and it can be boozed up to 2.52 GHz. Its TDP is 350W which is amazing as it is the same as the RTX 3090, but you will require a power supply of at least 850 watts. The RTX 4080 comes in two different models: one with 12GB GDDR6X memory and another with 16GB GDDR6X memory. Also, Nvidia claimed that it is also 2X faster than RTX 3080Ti. The 12GB model has 7,680 CUDA cores with a base speed of 2.31 GHz and supports a boost up to 2.61 GHz. The 16GB model contains 9,728 CUDA cores, and it has a base clock of 2.21 GHz with a boost up to 2.51 GHz.

Availability & Price

The Geforce RTX 4090 will be available to buy from October 12, and it is priced at $1599, which is $100 higher than 2020’s RTX 3090. And the 12GB model of Geforce RTX 4080 will cost you $899, and RTX 3080’s launch price was $699, which means this year’s got a $200 price bump, and it will be available to buy in November. Besides, the 16GB model of it will cost $1199, and it will also be available in November.
