Missing Link will take place in Scala ad Caelum, where players will scale buildings and run through streets, taking on the Heartless in real-time combat, similar to the likes of Kingdom Hearts 3. Players won’t be sliding back into the shoes of Sora, though, and instead will play as one of three different characters. At the time of writing, though, there’s no word on who these are, what abilities they might have, and whether more playable characters will be joining them that just haven’t been shown off yet. What we do know is that the game will include “exhilarating battles against the Heartless and… a new, original story.”

Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link is set to get a closed beta at some point in 2022. No more specific release date has been given for the beta yet, nor has a release window for the official launch of the game been disclosed at the time of writing. Once we have more information on an official beta release date, or how to sign up on both iOS and Android, we’ll let you know.
